Facebook Bands... or B(r)ands?
A "band profile" addition to Facebook is being rumored for announcement at ad:tech next week: Mashable: Facebook Music.
Sounds cool. But why would such a feature have to be limited to music. Why not "Facebook Brands," letting people be fans of and enhance their relationships other non-person entities like brands, companies, organizations in a way that you can't now via groups? That would have implications much bigger than a me-too strategy. Would obviously create huge opportunities for online marketers to engage socially networked consumers.
